Avoid draining salt-system water onto plantings. If the yard genuinely has nowhere to take it, a submersible pump and a long hose to a sanitary cleanout is the cleaner option — never a street storm inlet, which discharges untreated into the creek and eventually the Cape Fear.

Older electrical is worth checking

Many of these homes have had panels upgraded, but the spa subpanel or disconnect is often a later add-on mounted on a damp exterior wall.
